      Cost & payment

      Prices of face-to-face lessons depend on the type of lessons (general/ conversation/ specialized – one to one or in group) and where we meet. Once I know your preferences, I can tell how much a lesson would cost.
      Lessons have to be paid 7 days in advance, via the European digital wallet called WERO.

      Can I get an invoice or a receipt?

      Of course! I can send you by email a monthly/yearly invoice and/or a PDF receipt.

      Lesson packages, get in touch!

      If you wish to purchase a lesson package, please get in touch with me beforehand, just to make sure we can find a time for your lessons that works for both of us over a few weeks.
      You should immediately receive an email confirming your booking(s). If you don't receive it within a short time, something has gone wrong. Please check your spams first and if you don't see a confirmation, please contact me so I can resolve the issue

      Minimum Commitment

      To ensure the effectiveness of your learning, a minimum of one lesson per week is required—either by using a lesson credit from your package or by purchasing a pay-as-you-go lesson. Of course, exceptions are made for unavoidable circumstances.

      Rescheduling & Cancellation

      I understand that exceptional circumstances are unavoidable, and a cancellation may be necessary. You can cancel and reschedule your lessons via my booking system where you originally booked them. Log in to your student account.

      Because lesson packages have firm expiration dates, please reschedule within the same or following week to avoid losing credits.

      Remember, any cancellation and/or rescheduling needs to be done at least 48 hours before your lesson. You can reschedule or cancel the same booking once only.

      The booking system does not allow any changes or cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours' notice, it is not possible to reschedule, and the prepayment will be forfeited as a late cancellation fee.
      If I cancel a lesson, the same rules apply to me and I will recredit your lesson via your student account or refund it.

      IMPORTANT

      The possibility of rescheduling a lesson cannot be guaranteed. I will do my best to help you, but it will depend on my availability that week. If it is not possible, the lesson will be cancelled and recredited to your student account. It is possible to reschedule/postpone a lesson from time to time, but it is not possible to reschedule/postpone all your lessons at once.

      Going on holiday?

      If you're going on holiday and can't attend lessons, I’m happy to hold your regular time slot(s) for up to 2 weeks, up to 5 weeks a year. After that, the slot will be released and may be offered to another student.
      If this arrangement doesn't suit your schedule, you're always welcome to book pay-as-you-go lessons.

      Lateness

      I will wait for you for 15 minutes after the start time of the lesson. Unfortunately, if you are late, the lesson will probably need to finish on time anyway. This is because I will likely have another student afterwards, so it simply won't be possible to add extra time at the end. Very rarely, I may be running late, in which case I will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. If I am able to, I will make up for lost time or, more likely, it can be added on to the next lesson.

      Can I purchase a lesson package now and use it later?

      Yes, if you buy a lesson package and wish to start later, please send me an email and let me know when you’d like to begin. As soon as my booking system informs me of your purchase, I‘ll change your package’s expiring date.

      Cost & payment

      Full payment is required at least 48 hours in advance before your first lesson and via my booking system or via Revolut.
      Lesson packages are non-refundable and must be used by their expiration date.

      How much does a lesson cost?

      My lesson prices vary depending on the format: group, individual, online or face-to-face and the type of course: general French, conversation, or specialised French (such as medical, exam preparation, oenology). Rates range from €19 to €50 per hour. If you’d like to know the exact cost of a lesson, just email me with the type of course you’re interested in — I’ll reply quickly. Sending an email doesn’t commit you to anything!

             What does the price include?

      For each tailor-made 60-minute one-to-one lesson, at no extra cost, I will:

      1. Provide you with free online learning material (presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material).

      2. If you wish, give you homework and correct it before the following lesson (Most language teachers do not offer this, but it is crucial to make real & quick progress!).

      A little something … which makes a big difference

      In addition to the lessons and homework, I will create online flashcards and games based on the vocabulary studied during the lesson. These are great for practising and revising French daily. You can use them on your mobile, tablet, computer, etc., at no extra cost.

      What is your teaching schedule?

      At the moment, I teach on       Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
      I’m off on Friday and Saturday.
      My working hours vary depending on the day, but in general, I start teaching at 8am at the earliest and finish at 8.30pm at the latest, local time in France.

      To view my availability for the coming 2 months, you'll first need to register as a new student. It's free and without commitment. If you register as a new student, please send me an email.
      If you prefer, I can create an account for you, just contact me. Please let me have your first and last name, email address, and phone number ( just in case of emergency). Once you're all set up, you'll be able to view my schedule and book lessons via the online booking system.

      Can't find a suitable time slot for your lesson?

      If no slot is available, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t have a lesson that week. Please don’t wait—just send me an email with the subject BOOKING and include your availability.
      I’ll do my best to find a slot that works for you. As usual, please give me 48 hours’ notice.

      Can I book my lessons in advance?

      Yes! Whenever you purchase a lesson package, to secure your favourite time slot(s), please book all your lessons in advance.
      If something comes up, you can amend your booking up to 48 hours before the lesson via your student account. No need to contact me unless you need help.

      Can I book 2 lessons in a row?

      Yes, you can do it on weekdays (except Sunday). The booking system will automatically assign a 10-minute break between the two lessons. But if you don’t want a break, just let me know, and I’ll modify the booking.

      How can I pay?

      I use REVOLUT, WERO and STRIPE.
      When you buy a pay-as-you-go lesson or a lesson package via your student account, my booking system will automatically redirect you to Stripe. Stripe is a secure worldwide online payments system. This way, we don’t need to share our bank details. Every transaction is protected by fraud protection, 24-hour monitoring and advanced encryption. If necessary, Stripe will also take care of the currency conversion.

      Can I get an invoice or receipt?

      Of course! When you purchase a lesson or lesson package, Stripe will automatically send you an invoice by email.
      If you pay via Wero or Revolut, I can also send you a monthly/yearly traditional invoice and/or a PDF receipt.

      Do you offer a certificate or evaluation?

      Yes, you can ask me a certificate or evaluation at any time.

    • DELF/DALF exams

      I can prepare you, but you will need to take the exam in a certified centre near you. To find a centre, click here .

      How long before I can speak decent French?

      It depends on:
      • Your learning pace
      • Your grammar background
      • How much homework you do
      • Whether you speak other foreign languages, especially Latin languages (like Spanish or Italian)
        • You can learn basic conversation skills in just a few hours, but long-term progress will vary.
