Explore French Art in French

Does a beautiful work of art fill you with joy?

Beauty is essential — art gives oxygen and keeps you grounded. 

If you feel the same, then I  invite you to explore French through art — especially painting and sculpture — and the lives and work of famous and contemporary artists.

Depending on your interests, we can also study cinema, literature (poetry, theatre and short texts by major French writers) and French songs — from the great classics to contemporary songs.

You’ll learn how to:

describe what you see and feel

talk about artworks, styles, and techniques in French

discuss films, poems, plays and song lyrics — themes, plots and language

This is a great way to build vocabulary for expressing emotions, opinions, and artistic impressions—while diving into the world of French artists such as Monet, Rodin and Soulages, and into the work of French filmmakers, writers and songwriters.
